File sharing and setting up a network

Hey All,

First off I dont know if this is the right place for this question so please move if needed

Ok, basically I have two computer I wanna connect via ethernet and file share between em, I think this can be done but most guides I have seen dont appear to be very clear,

They are both running XP at the moment,

Does anyone have a guide or ideas on how to set this up?

PS I can also go wireless if needed just thought it might be easier to go through ethernet!

if you have a router inbetween them it's easy (if not you'll need a crossover cable)

add both pc's to the same workgroup (run the home networking wizard) and share away!!
