Hi, Hope this is in the right section
Last weekend my PC got a virus. So instead of messing about I decided to would reinstall. I have 1 x 400gig HDD which is partitoned into 130gig for OS and rest Data.
I copied all my documents etc to the data partition and the reinstalled my XP back on the 130gig partition. When I have finished my install I noticed that my data partition was gone. On checking in Disk Management it said that partition was not unassigned
This is perhaps where I went wrong. I thought that it might just need a drive letter assigning to it so went and did that, but to my horror all was gone.
I have been using GetDataback and also PC Inspect File Recovery and it can find my data no problem, but when I restore a file list such as a PST file or a word doc they are corrupt and I cannot seem to find out why this is..
Any help would be great and thanks in advance
Most of my stuff is backed up just not all..
