I’ve just had a radiator moved and each side of the radiator the plumber has chased through the dot and dab plasterboard to inset the pipes.

I need to fill this cut out (not an issue) but here’s a little conundrum, I need to paint the wall behind the rad after filling and sanding , there isn’t enough room to paint ( even with a small roller ) so I will need to remove the radiator once everything has set, but I don’t think there will be any play on the pipes at all due to them now being buried

any tips or suggestions welcomed as I need to get it sorted asap

If the pipes are inset in the wall they should be covered with felt lagging before being plastered/filled over as direct contact can cause them to corrode. It also doesn't give the pipe room to expand so you end up with ticking noises as it rubs against the plaster.

Have you got a photo of it, how are the pipes arranged?

Now I just need to rethink the filling as the pipes do not go back far into the wall so will probably end up cracking the thin plaster at some point
