Films you enjoyed but then disliked on second viewing.

I've not watched since I was a teenager, when I thought it was pretty great. Everyone says it's terrible though :D

Check out the continuity errors, weapons he’s using.
Without going into detail I don’t think it’s very historically accurate either.

Aliens. Saw it at the cinema when it first came out and yeah, a spectacular action film. At that point had only seen the original Alien a couple of times on TV showings, so seeing an Alien film, in the form of Aliens, on a big screen was awesome at the time. Then since we got access to HD movie channels and blurays I was able to rediscover the original properly and fully appreciate it for the genuine horror film it was, with the less is more aspect of the alien itself. This gradually led me to begin to actively look down on Aliens, with its too many people, too much action, too much in your face Aliens, annoying child, etc, etc. Actually, especially the annoying child now that I think about it. Yes, it is clearly still a great film in its own right as a straight forward action film, but compared to Alien I just don't get worked up about it at all in comparison. Alien 3 I thought was naff to start with and Alien 4 was clearly a load of rubbish from the get go also, so they added to my eventual dislike of Aliens, since it reinforced my view that the franchise peaked with the original. How's about that for a controversial opinion.

Funny you say this.

Dunkirk. I tried watching it again last night and just got bored after the first twenty mins.

I wasn't super in love with it first time, but I don't know what it is, it all looks so clinical clean and not like a chaos laced desperate withdrawal of 100s of thousands of troops.

I genuinely dislike it. The scene where he is forced to ditch his spitfire at the end. Just looks modern and lifeless.
Agree with that. Another one for me is Usual Suspects, you only get the twist once.
