Films...

Any modern S60 phone can do it. Here's a list of devices.

If you're ripping the movies yourself, find something that rips to an "iPod format" and Bob's your uncle.

If you've got DivX movies then DivX Movie Player (free download) will play them. Xvid is supported by CorePlayer for S60 too.

Something like a Nokia N73 will only set you back about £99 on PAYG.

My old k750i could play films as long as it was in the correct format. Would hate to watch one on it though. The N95 isn't too bad to watch films on, done it on the plane a few times.

N95 is ok for films, i mean barely. The Iphone however stomps all over it, i do it everyday to work.

iphone stomps it for the screen - its awesome:) It must be said that converting films/tv to work on it is a pain when the N95 can play almost all formats off the bat (using 3rd party software)

Agreed. Iphone is better screen and more pleasant to use but it has compatibility issues

Which software is that?
Corecodec - Coreplayer mobile.

I've put a film on to test it and Spiderman 3 came on loaded on it. But even the relatively big screen for a phone is too small for me to watch a film on
