Filmwise Invisibles

Is there a way to make this thread only accessible to members of this forum. I ask this because a search like 'invisibles 428 filmwise' with show this thread as a result.
 
I suppose in theory you could do a closed group as with the Members Market sub-forum but I don't know whether that works only for whole forums rather than individual threads - I'm not sure if it would be implemented anyway even if possible. If other people want to take their answers from here then I suppose I'm not that bothered, they're the ones not playing the game properly so don't get the same satisfaction. :)
 
I think Kanaye is more bothered that he/she is accidentally seeing the answers in our thread, in the search engine results, before getting chance to do the quiz him/herself... i might be wrong though...

If that is the case, dont be so lazy and search for the quiz every time, simply add a bookmark and all will be well in the world. Other option could be, he/she is involved in creating the quiz and doesnt want groups/individuals simply googling, finding the answers across multiple sites/forums and submitting the answers as their own.

Any which way, i doubt very much OcUK admin/mods are going to do anything special with regards to this thread to make it less likely to show up on search engine results pages.

The only way to do it would be by usergroup + forum section, which if i'm honest we're not likely to do for a single thread.

We do it for MM to try and protect users a bit when they are buying/selling (and as an incentive for people to follow the rules in there).
 
This thread is for a bit of fun for the forum users. If other people want to search for the thread AND uncover the spoiler answers then clearly they had no intention of playing the game properly anyway. In other words, I'm not fussed!

Ah right, I hadn't really thought of it like that but then whenever I remember to look for the latest quiz I simply go to the site and check for the newest version so it isn't a problem.
 
I'm currently doing the invisibles with a group of friends and while we're in competition with the rest of the folks doing invisibles it's also like having a mini competition to see who can get the most answers for each quiz. Having the answers available publicly available is just well awkward. It's funny when i signed up for these forums I had zero access to anything until my login was approved, It seems like it should be simple enough to have the thread be private.

Anyways thanks for discussing it. It's not a big deal either way but ideally not having answers publicly available would be great.
