Final check before my first gaming rig

All,

Could you help me with this rig, I have assembled it with another 3rd party as couldnt seem to do it on this site, but just wat to make sure there are no glaring issues with it, nor am i wasting money by building in bottle necks.

Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-Delta Black ATX RGB Gaming Mid-Tower
CPU (Processor): AMD Ryzen 7 2700X -
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Masterliquid Lite 120 Liquid Cooling System w/ 120mm Radiator
Motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon
Memory (RAM): 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4/3200mhz (HyperX Fury w/Heat Spreader)
Graphics Card (GPU): AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB
PSU (Power Supply): Corsair RM750x 750W 80+ Gold Modular Gaming Power Supply [+31]
M.2 SSD Drive: 500GB (1x500GB) Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
Hard Drive (HDD & SSHD): 2TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s

Looking to buy now, not wait for the 3000 range but hope I have the upgrade path.

I have the monitor, mouse, keyboard and Windows already.

No one knows but most people seem to guess they'll be available end of June/early July.
Seeing as you are going for a 2700X I would say wait it out if you can - they generally aren't on as good as a deal as a 2600. The current pricing for a 2600 is very hard to refuse right now. The 3600X is rumoured to be the 8core/16thread (same as the 2700X) but with higher clock speed and overall greater performance - most likely for a similar price as 2700X's are currently going for.

Any other suggestions to reduce the spec, yet have the upgrade path? Would the Vega 56 work ok with the 2600 chip?

i would save on random stuff and use the money to get a better gpu. gpu is king when speccing for gaming. (ie get the best gpu you can afford)
what's that spec costing? a grand-ish? could get a 2600+2070 for that kind of money.
spec below for just over a grand. of course can cut the build down and get it below a grand if budget is a concern.

Depends on what games you are looking to play, as well as when you would next want to upgrade.
For example, if you want to buy now and leave it for 5+ years (I'm talking about the CPU/mobo/RAM) then I would personally wait for the 3600X.
If you're happy upgrading soon-ish (maybe within a couple of years) then a 2600 will be good to go for now.
You're maybe looking at a 5% increase in FPS as of today between a 6core/12thread CPU and a 8core/16thread CPU, but that will most likely get higher over the years as more and more games begin utilising more cores/threads (4 cores was the standard only a couple of years ago!).

I personally like to try and upgrade as little as possible, I've had my i5 3570k for 7 years now with 4 different GPUs in that time.
 
whats your monitor ?

1080p ~+ 60hz and pointless with 2070 rtx as wasting a lot of money gaining nothing .

1080p gaming 144hz+ monitor and current ryzen holds back expensive GPUs , Byt ryzen 3000 is on the way .

intel= currently expensive but still key for fast 1080p gaming . 1440p plays nicely for ryzen or 1080p 60hz with mid range card and keeps cash low

should see more leaks, specailly from Jap CM's ! boards are nice and features blows b450/x470 out the water for not much cash

vega 56/64 if on a good deal and ryzen 2600x should do you well :)
in theory 2070 should be able to maintain high frames at 1440p but depends on settings and games played, my 2080 can get hammered on ANNO 1800 with ultra settings and sit at 50fps

If having limited budget something giving very little advantage is also waste of money.

While 8 core will likely have more resale value, performance/performance per price wise Zen2 will likely bring it down as heavily.
Instead of Intel style very incremental instant profits maximizing milking AMD is apparently aiming at another disruptive release.

Marketing pee cooler again is total waste of money for likely very mediocre performance and certainly lot lower endurance before failing/wearing down.
With that ridiculously tiny radiator it's certain that same priced heatpipe coolers will shred that Coolerhamster to pieces and pee on its grave in cooling performance per noise.
Mugen 5 would certainly do that.

Though next-gen consoles could change memory consumption of games 16GB would be enough for now.

Also if purpose is to keep budget limited there's no point in paying any high per GB prices for NVMes.
Those theoretical benchmarketing numbers simply give very little advantage to game loading speed over SATA signaled SSD.

For all its overpricing Intel platform is even less future proof, with zero upgrade path from soon four years old 6th gen Skylake architecture...

At this rate security patches might soon even axe HyperThreading of buttrape&robbery priced models.
That's actually already happened in more security aiming OSes.
Intel's policy for security of CPU design simply hasn't been any better than Boeing's dedication to safety of 737 MAX.

And no thanks to originally Samsung's phone/tablet CPU node neither 2600x has that high clocks.

True, although I believe the PS4/XBO already have 8 core CPU's in them.
It's all guesswork but I'm guessing the 2600 will not be "low-end" for another 2 years or so.

Current consoles have likely weaker CPU cores than most phones.

Game developers must be praying every morning and evening for the day when they don't have to try to shoehorn games into those.

Zen2 is from different planet.
