Final check before purchase

OK so I'm about to buy:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail with FREE TrackMania 2 Canyon PC Game

Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

Going in my HAF X with a corsair HX620W PSU, 2x GTX260 216 (until next gen GTX6xx arrives)and PCI XFi Fatal1ty sound card.

Hopefully the increase in performance from my sig spec will warrant the cost!

Looks like a good upgrade !!

What cooler are you using? Might be worth throwing in a Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler @£24.98 aswell ?

Sorry forgot to say. I have a Corsair H60, although I'm not sure if it came with the 1155 bracket, will have to check.

Even if you can only find a LGA775 bracket its will still fit the board.

Some impressive differences, although very little in it with regards to games. However, I suspect that's due to games depending much more on GPU power.

Could just be the games also, test some that use more cores and the results will be better.
