Epic seller's remorse getting rid of my old copy of FFVIII, I loved that game. :(

Oh well, we have emulators and the Internet. :D
 
Yeah ripped my ff8 off cd onto pc just doesnt seem the same so waitin for a ps1 memory card to come now

I have my copy running on my PC (the actual disk, since my PSOne died and I want to chat to people via msn while playing it, so wont use the PS3) and I have downloaded a few shaders for the emulator and it looks even better now. Its like it is a PS2 game!
I play on my TV and use my xbox 360 controller to play it. Its exactly the same but I get better FPS. For some reason the PSOne used to get slowdown when summoning some of the big GFs. Doesnt with my PC for some reason.
 
Loved this game so much on the PS1, took me years to get past disc three as I didnt want to go past the point of no return. Kept on trying to replay it over the last few years on PS2/PC and even PSP via the remote play function but never got much past Dollet.

Ended up watching/listening to a let's play on Youtube while writing my dissertation, 162 parts of ~10mins eep.

LMAO. I am just thinking back to that. It totally is. I never really paid attention to that before xD
 
got this sitting on my shelf, original PS1 version, bought when i bought a launch ps3, havent touched it, partly because i'm scared of it! had it on PC when released, kept playing, left it, came back started again etc etc etc, always got up to some way through disc 3, and never further! similar story for FF7 which I also have!

Its to me what Eleanor is in gone in 60 seconds! One day.... one day.....
 
Just don't leave it too late, it is a total brilliant game, I am very tempted to go on a hunt for FF7, 8 and 9 for my ps3 :)
 
I only got to the second disc to be fair, but now that I have got my ps3 with wireless controllers, I can see me putting in big numbers of play time to these old rpgs while sitting at the pc at night :)
 
This thread has got me thinking about buying FF7-9 again :cool: I've just ordered Persona 3FES and Persona 4 from Hong Kong as i have a NTSC PS2.These might be next on my shopping list :D
