Thanks for the heads up. I'm a bit out of date as currently going through XIII for the first time atm. Game took a bit of a critical pounding but personally I love it. More Lightning can only be a good thing!

XIII is quite a hit or miss game, since the majority of it is like one massive on-rails tutorial. Probably like 2/3 of the entire game is just that.

With XIII-2, they offered some improvements though a side effect of that is it kind of made the game too easy. Still I personally think it is a lot of fun and way better than the first game.

Lightning Returns, from my understanding so far, the battle system sounds like it takes elements from FFXII and Kingdom Hearts.
 
They should have made this DLC for XIII-2 instead of a full retail release. But then again they should be putting time into getting Verses XIII out the door.
 
All I want to see is FFX be made into the HD remake, all the games following X haven't been great in my opinion
 
That will be the new Cocoon, Bhunivelze.

It really does cheapen the whole point of Gran Pulse if we never really get to know more about that world other than the areas that were underneath and around old Cocoon, but at least Novus Partus does look quite lush.

That place slightly reminds me of Ultimecia's Castle from FF8!

I've yet to complete XIII-2 but I'm more interested in how Final Fantasy Versus XIII will link up.

This. XIII wasn't as awful as people made out, I actually really enjoyed the storyline. Yes there was way too much hand holding for the first 20 odd hours, but the game was still fun.

XIII-2, fixed a lot of what people complained about in XIII, and is again actually a very enjoyable game.
 
I have to say I hated XIII I just found it boring the pretty much run straight line fight run in a straight line fight etc etc. Just well to me that is not final fantasy.

Never did play XIII-2 but I have been told that it was pretty good I'm actually waiting on a copy to be delievered to me now. I picked it up cheap I'm hoping it will be better than XIII. I shall wait and see. But imo the FF series on a whole is just getting worse bit by bit, SE seem more focused on having amazing graphics than solid gamplay.
 
I had a quick go of XIII not long after it came out and wasn't impressed, either. Now I have picked it up again and am about 20 hours or so into it. The game doesn't even start to get interesting until about 10 hours in. The battle system really comes into it's own during the harder fights where you have to plan your strategies a lot more. I think it's a really good game you just have to invest a little time into it. Nowhere near as bad as people made out.

Recently bought XIII-2 dirt cheap and I'm really excited about getting into it after I finish XIII.
