*** Final Fantasy XIII ***

Just realised I haven't preorderd this, when I was certain I had! Crapola.

So where is cheapest at the moment? Or is it just a better idea to pick it up on the highstreet?

I'm just going to pick it up on Tuesday personally.

It is £34.99 in Sainsburys, so i'll just grab it from there (unless any of the other big supermarkets do it for a special cheaper price).

Get to a 24 hour supermarket Monday evening and ask what time they're putting it out. Technically it should be midnight, but they might go out earlier, or even let you buy a copy before it's up if you ask nicely :)

A lot of the regular game stores by me are having midnight launches, one with a chance of winning a copy of the game provided you turn up in cosplay style, doubt I'll be doing that though. I think I may just pick the game up on tuesday though, up early that day and don't want to be tempted to play the game all night!

HMV in london are doing a midnight launch as far as im aware would need to be in bradford for me to go as i hate london lol

However hopefully my preorder will arrive 2moz morning since was despatched on thurs >.<

Got my dispatch email this morning. GAME's next working day delivery. However I expect it will just be sat in the sorting office today and begin transit tomorrow, arriving Tuesday.

Would have been a better idea to do normal delivery as then it would have been posted before the weekend and stood a better chance of arriving tomorrow.

You will have it bythen, however i dont see why any gets a next day special delivery with pre-orders as their always their day before or on the day in games case generally day before and same with most others except for play

got mine online 34.99, arrived Sat morning :>

played about 12 hours worth so far but bed for early work tomorrow :(

I'm gonna get this when it's cheap now. The linear bit nor the field excite me terribly but I haven't played a JRPG in a while and I do miss them.

To people who have it or have the CE is it something that would fit through ya standard letterbox? if not im sitting downstairs this morning! >.<

Not sure Mark... The TNT guy had to get me to sign for it... Why does that always happen? I'm stuck in work now! :(

**edit**
The CE is presented nicely! I had to tear it out of the bag to see it before I went to work...

Well seeing as all the comments on here about the PS3 version is better than the Xbox version, i had pre-orderd the collectors eddition of the PS3 one when it came out online through Game.co.uk, but called them this morning and cause its on express delivery it was going to be dispatched today and they were kind enough to swap my 360 version of the CE to the PS3 CE version :D:D.

Now just hope i made the right choice :O

I have spent a good part of the weekend with the game. At first I was not so sure but it keeps getting better as I progress. It takes awhile before new skills are available. Although it has been extremely linear I have not minded due the strong story driving the game along – the cut scenes are simply stunning. The upgrade path is also very linear and what may appear as choice is not really so. All in all I am enjoying FFXIII as it is a change from the usual Western RPG and the presentation is top notch.

Just checking here but what is everyones opinions on which version to go for? PS3 or Xbox 360? if you own both systems.

The general consensus seems to be the PS3 is definately the version to get with higher native resolution especially with the fmv.
