OK, it's a bit overbudget than what I had planned for, the easiest solution to cut cost now would be not going Crossfire, but I'm not sure if ATI is going to stop unlocking the HD6950s on later stocks..
CPU: i5-2500k @ £175
MoBo: MSI GD65 @ £140
RAM: 8gb Corsair Vengeance (cas8) @ £120
GPU: 2 x HD6950 @ £450
Case: Coolermaster HAF X @ £130
PSU : Corsair HX850W @ £125
Cooler: Coolermaster 212+ & 2 x Yate Loon fans @ £30
HDDs: 80gb Corsair Force SSD + 1TB Samsung F3 @ 170
Optical Drive: Random brand @ £18
Thermal paste: Arctic Silver MX4 @ £7
Extra Fans: Coolermasters @ £10
Total @1375
Anyways, from the above, what do you guys think? Apart from not going CF, any other easy areas to save a few quid? Or is the whole thing "bang for buck" anyway. I'm planning on getting 3 years use without upgrading?
(So excited about my upcoming first PC build)
