Well a GTX570 is equal to a stock clocked GTX480, this gigabyte with the factory overclock is faster as this review shows,

http://www.guru3d.com/article/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-480-soc-review/1

just compare the gigabyte against the stock model in the performance graphs, and with the OP using a HX1000w PSU I don't think power usage will be a issue:)

But the you could just overclock the 570? Overclock for overclock plus vram difference and £25 extra for the 570, what would you recomend.

The GTX480, more Vram, the overclock is warrantied from the factory, custom cooler so the old stories of noisy GTX480's don't apply, cheaper.

its just full of win.

Yeah, the GTX 480, although a dual HD5850 crossfire would give you near the GTX 580 for 1/2 the price. However, it is crossfire.

In the same vein, the GTX 560 SOC, iirc £200. Overclocked from factory, and it's got the cooling and heatsinks to match the OC.

FOr the cooler, keep an eye on the Antec Kuhler.
