Final Spec Check (E2180?)

Does this look alright? Also forgot to add on a DVD drive so add £20 or so onto that total.

It's going to be used for the usual internet/downloading, Uni work (programming) & casual-ish gaming (FM, CS:S, HL2 etc.)


Any advice or help with the final spec would be appreciated.

Looks like a bargain rig for under £450. Decent HSF maybe? The artic cooler 7 will still force that under £450.

i have pretty much the same. went for the samsung HD501J 500GB (anandtech review is good) plus the DS3P board which has Xfire as well.

other then that its good

The mobo will come with the Sata cable for your Hard Drive and the Corsair will have the rest so your all good

That spec is exactly as I'd hake it if you'd asked me to spec you a 450 quid rig.

If you wanted you could save a few by swapping out the HX 520 for the 450 W corsair as both are very much overkill for such a rig's needs.

Just so you know your options, here's a spec with a Q6600 for a similar price.

Right, one last question before ordering tomorrow.

Does this Samsung SH-S203BEBN 20x20 DVD±RW Dual Layer Serial ATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM come with the necessary cable(s) seeing as it is OEM? Or will there be cables supplied with the mobo that can fit this?

Cables come with the mobo, not the ODD or HDD.
