We'll ive got all the money and im going to order my dads birthday present today. Ive got £1100 to spend and he wants a gaming computer. Im going to need everying so keyboard, mouse, monitor needs to be included, but these parts dont need to be extreme things such as logitek or saitek etc. Also i dont need things such as a sound card, hes not a hard core gamer so wouldnt notice the difference.

He wants to play recent games and games to be released, so its gotta be fairly future proof. Help putting together a decent spec would be brilliant, Thanks.

Thanks mate, looks brilliant. One thing is i dont need an OS as ive got windows xp pro sitting at home waiting to go on it. Also will that rad play crysis etc ?
 
I don't know the requirements for Crysis I'm afraid so while I reckon that should play pretty much anything I can't say for certain. If you don't need an OS then you could add in an aftermarket cooler such as the Tuniq Tower plus some Arctic Silver 5 paste. The other option is to add some more Ram to boost it to 4gb but with a 32bit OS you will only see about 3.5gb of it. :)

I think Crysis needs DirectX 10 to play in all its glory, which I believe is only available on Vista? So might be worth getting Vista :)

Do correct me if I'm wrong, just something I slightly remember from the PC Games forum.
