Hi - I think I am ready to order but I would really appreciate it if you could check out my kit list and tell me if i have forgotten something or picked the wrong products.

I will re-use mouse and keyboard from existing system along with a raptor boot hard drive. I will be ordering 3 PWM fans and fan extension leads from elsewhere as OCUK don't have the ones i want.

Please let me know what i have forgotten or got wrong...

I hate it when you finish a build, everything looks perfect, and then realise you missed something out that could be £200+ :( As Mogwai said, need a graphics card.

My only thought would be to look at getting a slightly cheaper monitor like the 24" Samsung in light of now having to add a graphics card into the mix; buying a different monitor could save about £200 inc vat.

If you are buying the Dell for a specific reason such as the display ports however don't contemplate it, that is a very nice monitor indeed!

As for graphics cards, I'd recommend a 5850 at £200 or a 5870 at £300, but that is all depending on what you can afford.

I bought a used 9800GTX+ from members market and thought i might use that. This computer will be primarily used for editing HD video from my camcorder and RAW photos from my dSLR (hence the choice of an expensive monitor). With the big power supply and large case though I have the choice of upgrading to 5870 or even 5870 x 2 when my twins get a little older and i have some time to play games on my pc. Is this overkill? Do you think i should drop down to an antec 902 and smaller psu?

By the look of your cooling choice, you're somewhat planning to OC in the near future, I would say, that case had good, if not better, airflow performance. PSU is fine.

i love my HX850 - it's near enough silent.

That 9800 GTX is still a good card mate - i'd stick with the case and psu you listed and buy a shiney new graphics card later on. The rest of your system will be ready and waiting for it!

You might want to think about investing in a solid state drive, a lot of people saying about how it alone has been such a huge factor in speeding up their PC.

I'm thinking the 902 might actually be a great choice for me. It seems like it WILL support 2x 5870 from the posts i have read. It has the advantage of being a case i can keep on top of my desk where there is a lot less dust than on the ground. Hmm all those lights could be a little distracting though.

Regarding SSD, I'm going to use the Raptor until SSD price
a) come down a bit
b) have confirmed to be working TRIM functions in Win7
