Looking good.
Nothing there that is really needing to be changed, although I'm sure some people will suggest some minor tweaks.
EDIT : I'd probably swap out the refurbished H100 for a H100i.
Is the AF120 for the front of the case? If so, you might want to get something bigger. I think the Prodigy can have up to 230mm in the front.
Maybe some black/gold cable extensions to go with the colour scheme.
Other than that, it looks fine to me.
Why do you recommend that its the same thing isnt it, i thought the i was just for the diff fans?
Two reasons.
First a refurbished unit is second hand it is more likely to fail sooner.
Secondly, the H100i comes with slightly better performance and the Corsair Link software, which gives you much better monitoring and control.
Has the Prodigy got room for a full 3 slot GPU?
Yep it is. Only 100Mhz less on the memory, can't see that making much real world difference?
Why did Asus have to make theirs so damn huge![]()
Nope, only 2 slots in most ITX cases.
As Snips said the MSI will fit and is the same price:
YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7970 Twin FrozR OC BE 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE GAMES £239.99
Total : £250.79 (includes shipping : £9.00).
I have an H80 refurb and I'm pretty happy with it. Only compliant is the stock fans are horrendous, I can't wait to get some Scythe GT's on it.
But I do believe more people have had issues with the H100 unit, not sure whether that's because more people buy that one or whether it's more prone to failure.
would you recommend the 7970 or go with the msi 680 version:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-213-MS
this would bring me to 1490, that includes everything spec'd but with a NEW h100i in there.
Personally I prefer Nvidia, but that's largely because I prefer the driver package.
I thought the 680 would be better, faster clock, faster memory. Guess not.
Have you considered that with the H100 in the Prodidgy I think you'll lose your 5.25" bay?
