Hi

Heres my spec which im looking to buy at the moment

E6400
DS4
Geil 2gb pc6400 Ram
160GB HDD x2
Floppy
Sony DVD+RW drive
BFG 7600GT

Which PSU should i get

Hiper 530W Black Type-R Modular PSU - SLI Certified with Active PFC
or
Seasonic S12 Series 430W ATX2.0 PSU With PCI-E Power Connector

i just need enough power to overclock the e6400 to around 3.2ghz and i want the 7600GT to have enough power too lol

Also i need all the connectors to power the components - like the 2 HDD....

Also I may wait for the e6420

thanks

Investing in a decent PSU is worth every penny because it powers all those qualty components in your system and the current wave of Hiper's have been having horrendous feedback on the forums, I simply wouldn't go near one. The seasonic is better but doesnt give you much watts. Have you considered Akasa Ultra Quiet range? They are superb and fairly cheap.

ill probably get the Enermax Noisetaker 535W - it looks good and has them 2 fans to keep the system cool :D

One more thing - is it an advantage to get ATX2.2 as this is ATX2.0

EDIT: should i spend £12 more and get this ATX2.2 PSU

Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

EDIT2: or what is your opinion on coolermaster - iv seen this

coolermaster IGreen 500W PSU - 85% Efficiency ATX12V v2.2 120mm Fan

Upto you really, only difference with ATX2.2 is it has higher effeciency standard and an extra 8-pin EPS12V connector for dual socket or high end mobos AFAIK.

Also the liberty has modular cables and the noisetaker doesn't.

yes i just found one:

1x 20+4-pin ATX
1 x 4-pin +12V
1 x 8-pin EPS12V
2 x PCI-Express
8 x 4-pin peripheral
2 x 4-pin floppy
4 x SATA

i have decided to get this one :D

thanks a lot everyone
