These should be on their way soon but no pricing has been confirmed yet. I'd expect it to be around £140 +VAT

thats like 175 quid after postage, are you sure its the best OcUK can do?

p/s: with that price its name deffo needs to be changed to "OcUK Deluxe" :p there is nothing "value" about £160+ motherboard ;)

Agreed, I thought the idea was to take on the established players, match specs and beat on price?

OCuk Premium, OCuk Platinum, etc...

At £140+VAT+delivery you're pricing it head-to-head with the DFI LT board, which is a tough competitor given that it comes from the enthusiast motherboard manufacturer, and it's got the Thermalright NB cooler and the Berstein audio module, plus it comes with a full compliment of good quality SATA cables and a spangly box. And that's before you factor in that it's mentally fast and a superb overclocker.

if it is £140 before vat etc, which i have my doubts, then its still cheaper than the DFI, however, not by much and the DFI certainly has more goodies thrown in. at £10 more, assuming price stability, the DFI will likely attract the greater volume of undecided customers

The DFI is widely available at £165 with free delivery (that's what I paid for mine) and £140+VAT is £164.50+delivery and that makes it a harder sell than it has to be.

So these boards will be capable of 500 FSB with the news quads then, I have P5E now and it wont go much over 460.
Would be into buying something that will do the 500FSB. even if it is £160

would be temped in a Q9450 over my Q9300 then as it might do a nice 4gig, now that would be nice.

£140 + VAT and delivery no thanks and yes i also thought the point was to outdo the big boys not prove you can match them in price but there you go.
