Final version of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 released

Since i installed this firefox and opera keep crashing now.

Oh really? Hmm...:/

I hate Flash with a passion.

Edit - there appears to be a slightly different problem with it as well, tabs aren't closing properly. Though it's been reported :

Edit 2 - good lord, my Opera/Flash problems have gone away, pity it took an installation to Windows 7 to do it.

Woo. :) About time. :D

Do you now feel empty inside? Like your life is now worthless considering the MAJOR bugbear in your existence has gone? Will you be able to find another campaign to get your heart and soul into with the same passion and dedication you've obviously shown in this one and that deserves at least an MBE for your achievement? :D

Not in the slightest. Though an MBE or Knighthood would do lovely. :p

There is one slight other gripe though - the video quality has deffo decreased in Opera. I think this may have been a problem in the first place, i.e. a buffer of some sort which overran when the quality was better.

It's all ok though, due to Sky Player using Silverlight, and e.g. Tesco or eBay not fully working in Opera I end up having to keep a permanent window of IE open anyway. I've gotten used to it, but it was annoying the problem happened to every Flash driven video.

Cheers kindly for the help & sympathy over the years though! :p

Installed, loaded up youtube, watched some 1080p clips and all the work is still loaded off onto the cpu, isn't 10.1 supposed to offload most off the work onto the gpu or am i getting it wrong?

Thanks for the alert! I've been using the beta. I've been using it to watch 1080p youtube videos it does take the load of the cpu (make sure you have latest gpu drivers). And when in fullscreen, fraps lets you record them.

CPU usage is the same with hardware acceleration disabled for me. Have I done something wrong?

Using it on my Dell Studio 1555 with Radeon 4570. Is it not compatible with it or something?
