Finally blown away by 360

I certainly feel that it's overrated. It's good, on par with CoD 2/3, Battlefield 2 etc but not a AAA title.

How can you compare GoW to BF2? there not even in the same league

GoW sets new goal posts and make all games that came before it look very old, even the online multiplayer is amazing :)

i agree its the best game i have seen on any system for a long time.
i hope a lot more games on the 360 turn out to be as good.
its worth buying a 360 just to play gow.
i have a pc with a 7800gtx graphics card and i think it would struggle to play gow and have a decent framerate.

I totally agree, there is no way Gears of War isn't a AAA title, it's moved the goalposts in terms of what future titles have to meet/beat.

Thats not too bad, good price really.
I got mine from No competitors please. FF. for £43 as I wanted the LE tin so for £8 I won't lose any sleep.

BF2 was great online and we all have our own opinions :)

Edit: Perhaps I should add that graphics don't impress me in the slightest.

Graphics on this game are the best I have ever seen on any console, but it's not about that it's just the whole game in general is pure class. it's best game I have played in years.

Just played GoW online with people from here and its really is a great online game, it only takes you 30 mins to get use to it and its all fun fun fun from there on.

Reminds me of UT2k3 on the PC but sensible guns and chainsaws :p

It's clearly a rubbish game.

a very good game but why only 8 players on-line
could the game be a bit longer if the 360 had a hd drive ???
More if the developers had more time to make more levels and story I'd have thought. I doubt they're even filling a DVD9 still in making games like this.

Because of several reasons:
1) The areas are arenas more than they are environments, so they are small and far better suited to smaller battles.
2) It's much quicker this way, if you have more people it would last for ages. I played a race to 7 earlier and 1 map took 30 minutes.
3) Most importantly, it's aimed at user connections. Most people here can host 4on4 over broadband, more however will cause severe lag (which can be seen in most games over Xbox live!).

As for HD-DVD, then no, the game wouldn't be any longer as the game was complete as it is. It's highly unlikely the DVD9 is even fully used, there is probably a lot more space available, certainly with better compression. If they can get a game the size of Oblivion on 1 DVD then they can easily fit more of this.

It's amazing just how "right" they got it.

Beautiful graphics
No tearing
Quick loading times
Good story and voice acting.
Plus the game just feels "good" !

It's the 1st title on the 360 that has finally screamed "next gen" at me.

Some features in multiplayer could be better, wish they had split screen multiplayer action like on COD3, my GF likes to play too but can't unless she has a live account.
At least they make up with co-op on single player :)
