I've been pretty busy over the past few months so the Elise has felt a little neglected, so early this morning I took the opportunity to give it a good clean. Next job (probably tomorrow) is to apply some paint cleaner, polish and wax. Anyway, here are the results so far!

are they really the lightest wheels? I know muncher has them on his VX but they're not really the greatest looking wheel, I dont think they suit the Elise.

lovely looking car!

I disagree with the above comment.. I think those wheels look nice on there :D

The Team Dynamics aren't the lightest but they're lighter than the 6 spoke rimstocks I've got on already. In matte black the Team Dynamics look great! The main reason for getting them is they're only about £580 delivered, look very like Oz's (which are expensive and very hard to get hold of now) and look good.

The rimstocks are 8kg front and 10.5kg rear. The TD's are 7.5kg front and 9kg rear. Oz's are 6.4 and 9.6 respectively but are about a grand! The other option would be to get some Exige Y-spiders but these are also expensive new and rare second hand.

Is half a kilo enough to make a significant difference? are the standard wheels 17" at the back and 16" at the front?

I doubt I'll tell the difference myself but surely any reduction in rotating mass must be a good thing in terms of handling and damper action? Yep, 16s front and 17s rear which is why the front arches seem to swallow the front wheels a tadge. Standard ride height at the rear and a 10mm rake at the front setup by Nitron. The Nitrons themselves are adjustable but I keep things fairly standard so I don't smack the splitter on every speed bump!

The silver one looked a bit out of place, what with every other bit of trim being black. Twas a right bugger to fit however :( and not cheap at £30 quid for a bit of black metal!

Looks fantastic, and personally think the wheels look great.

Spotted an S2 Exige in Red in the other day while in Bristol, aweosme cars.
