Following on from this thread I managed to find a black 350D with kit lens for sale locally and got it for quite a good price.

Can't wait to learn how to use the camera and get some images posted in the competition threads.

Sorry for the useless thread but I am just a bit excited :D
 
Congrats. I feel like I'm at the door to the SLR club but others rush past me to get in before I do.:(

Have fun learning how to use it and post some pics when you get some you want to show off and have critiqued (constructively of course ;)).

The Alfa is fixed, only took a few days to get it running again and cost less than £100, it's just the hassle which was a pain. :)
