RE suprising people, there's been a few - but the best was today. It wasn't 'impressive' but it just made me laugh - a typical nonced up Saxo glued itself 1 foot from my bumper through town, guy driving it, could just see his cap over the dashboard (not really joking)....

Anyway I take umbridge in his distancing and slow to 25mph. So, he gets closer. Great.

We hit the 60mph signs after clearing the parked cars and he starts to get closer and edge, like he might pull out.

I think "Right, bye", and just gently squeezed the pedal to the floor in 4th.

Damned Saxo, I thought he'd dropped it into reverse! Looked like he was going backwards and I could just see a look of utter horror on his face as he rapidly became a blue dot on the horizon :D Just disappeared totally and didn't see him again!

Classic :D

Quick one here if you like, picked the pic up from one of your other posts, if you have a preferred pic just shout.

Lookin' good ;)

I'm just trying to work out where I'm going to get the cash to sort the Stag out "properly". I really fancy trying to get an LS1 in there, similar size to the rover and about the same price, brand new, as a SBC. BMW rear end conversion, Monarch do an entire rear end kit, (but it's expensive :() but it does include the BMW disk brakes and drive shafts to, so no more twitch!

They also do alloy hubs and an ally front brake conversion, which seems quite reasonable in price.

If it all goes as planned (I want to sort the bodywork and get a respray too, but I'm not sure in which order, it may be best to go for the engine first, incase I need to make any... modifications :)) it should push out ~350hp. I'm not after a sports car, just to make the Stag what I think it should be (145hp is a bit lame for a V8 ;))
