Went in to London to see about these bikes today and it was love at first sight. Put down a deposit and I'm going to lift it sometime this week. Can't wait.

This isn't my bike, it is the demo. However it is identical other than this one has ABS.

These pictures don't do it justice. I personally hate the black bit of the fairing at the bottom; but when you actually see it, it looks a lot better.

Can't wait to get it now. Kind of scared too as I'll be driving round in London for the first time, and on a bike for the first time other than lessons. Dawnting.

:D !

I remember buying my brandnew Kawasaki GPX600R went i was 19 years old (am 38 now),,,I got court for speed dangerous 3weeks later (banned from driving/riding for 6months)

I hope you have more luck after you buy your new Kawasaki bike then i did...

Thanks for the vote of confidence  :D

Enjoy! :) You always remember your first bike! :D

Mine was a Kwak GPZ500S (N Reg) - loved it to bits, ragged the hell out of it, clocked over 20k miles on it and enjoyed every moment! :D

The ER6 is quite nice bike, especially great as a starter bike IMO. :)_

I would also like to point out the place I bought it, Motorpolis in Vauxhall. OMG, the amount of sexy bikes. The Ducattis are just yummy. Never seen a bike shop like it, then again- I'm from Northern Ireland :(

Ok a bit of confidence for you...:D

I owned an R1 for 4 years and then a fazer1000 for the next 4years without getting a single speeding ticket on an island with a max 35mph speed limit ;)

(But then again i ride my bikes very little over here,,Use them mainly for holidays/touring in france)

nice bike (im biased as kwak man till i die), it will be great commuter tool no doubt...

once you cut your teeth on it then just do a trade in nxt year for a zx6r, and the new 2009 one is gonna be amazing :), just a idea.

Nice bike, I like the look of the ER6F. Very nice first bike, I was tempted by one myself, but went for something a bit sillier for my first. Did you go for a green one?

While you were there, did you try any of the other usual suspects? Z750, Z1000 or the ER6N?

PS. The first scrape on a brand new bike is the worst feeling in the world.... be careful.

Do you mind saying how much your paying for your Kawasaki ER-6F ???
£4.5k. That's the retail price and I got a £400 alarm fitter, restrictor and 10% off all accessorises.

Most likely. Probably get bored after a few months. Should be fine though. Can't wait.

Yup, lime green.

Looked at the naked version but didn't really like it. The 750 is nice but then that means more for insurance plus naked bikes are nice but I think I would rather have a sportier looking bike.

And I dread crashing/dropping it. Think I will get them 'things' you put on the fairings.

Nice bike, what size engine is in it? Got any stats for speed etc?

It's a 650 twin I think with 70 odd bhp and will do 12.5 standing 1/4. Though it's a commuter / new rider tool thats still pretty quick, at least compared with any car. Has a 130mph top end too.

edit: did a search on 12.5sec 1/4 in google, closest standard car I could find to that time is a dodge viper gtr-s :D

Nice.

I don't like the new green model, the old black/red or silver/gold versions were much nicer looking, imho.

Ride safely, have fun!
