was wondering the limitations of my motherboard(Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R )
it says on the website maximum of 4gb ddr3 and a maximum of 8gb ddr2..is this true?? or could i have more ddr3..thanks

DDR3:

2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 4 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 1333*/1066/800 MHz memory modules

DDR2:

4 x 1.8V DDR2 DIMM sockets supporting up to 8 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR2 1066*/800/667 MHz memory modules

it says max 4gb ddr3 so yes you can only have 4gb of ddr3

You might find that when that motherboard came out it was only certified with 2GB sticks of ram hence why it states 4GB max. But it might still run higher modules.
