Cheers AJUK - I have set everything to British/English/UK and its still on the US Keymap but nevermind! Ill be getting an Apple keyboard soon enough

One last thing that is annoying the hell out of me is the mouse acceleration! Is there any way to turn this off? My mouse keeps on shooting off the screen

After a quick two second Google search I'm under the impression that it is not possible to disable mouse acceleration within MacOS X. There does appear to be a shareware application called iMouseFix which will allow you to adjust it or, indeed, turn it off.


On a sidenote:

First impressions... for a 1.25GHz Processor its quite fast!

Of course it's fast for a 1.25GHz processor! A 1.25GHz G4 is not comparable to a 1.25GHz Intel or AMD chip. It's kind of like the new Sun servers — they only have 1.25GHz UltraSPARC T1 processors, but they could wipe the floor with any number of xeons or opterons you throw at them. It's simply not possible to compare GHz ratings across different manufacturers

I have a(nother) little problem

The guy who I bought the machine off had already loaded OS X for me and created a user with a blank password(obviously I have changed that now!). He has set a Master password with the hint "Start Z" - I am guessing this is some keyboard shortcut or a reference to a keyboard shortcut? I have tried google but there isnt anything listed. Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

It might be; zxcvbnm (i.e; start from Z on the keyboard and go right). It could quite easily be anything tho

I did email him as soon as I found that master password option, he hasnt been replying to any of my emails though I havent left him any feedback yet and wont leave any till I get some answers (not just the master password) from him.

Yup I have the Tiger disc here but that would mean installing all my applications again which took ages I will give it a few more days before I do a total wipe!
