anyone own one?

im looking forward to pulling the standard cooler back out of my rig and puttin this bad boy in, should be arriving tomorrow, had an arctic cooler pro 7 and it was awful temp wise, then the fan died, removed the cooler and found the plastic mount broken so im hoping this should allow me to push the overclock i had from 4.3 to maybe 4.5, as temps with the old cooler hit the 90's!!!!:o

Look's capable for 4.5GHz :) I love installing heatsinks. Remember that small blob of thermal paste method might not be as good as putting a thin line on each heatpipe. I think putting a blob in middle gets more of it stuck in between the heatpipes.

im just wondering what the paste is that will come bundled with it, as all i have is generic silver thermal paste

anyone know what would be the best 140mm fans for push pull on this? as, im starting to think it only comes with 1 fan, so im wondering about getting a pair of better fans, or matching this one if it is any good

Wtf... 1 fan. All the pictures even the contents show two fans. That is VERY misleading...just checked website, says 1 fan but you have to search for it. Stupid idea for a stock photo really. OCuK should have the 1 fan picture as the main one and so should Xigmatech..

I would go with dual 140mm PWM Akasa Apaches in black. :)

yes, if i would have known that i would've probably give it a miss, but yes it seems like im only getting one fan, extremely misleading i thought, if i get two, i will be very happy though

The product page at Xigmatech says 1 fan. You could ask in the Customer Service section to clear it up. Should perform well enough with 1 fan though, if I knew it didn't come with 2 fans I wouldn't have picked that one as a £30 cooler would probably do the same job, especially if you are going to end up with 1 fan. Maybe send it back and get one with 2 fans? Maybe a Megahalem,s with 2 Apaches?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-025-TL&groupid=701&catid=2330&subcat=2318 They bundle them with just about every fan combo lol. Or you can buy separate fans.

Ive got the nzxt one too 2 things 1 be careful of the rubber clips they snap mine went after just a week of use. 2. The fans on the nzxt are 3 not 4 pin so no pwm adjustment.

Interestingly though the nzxt 140 is a 6 heatpipe design the 120 is a 4 they seem to be a 4 pipe 140 fan not sure if it makes a difference. on a plus note mine is good enough to run a 4ghz clocked ivy passively (i can turn the fans off using my recon controller) in all but the most demanding of situations and still stay well under the thermal limit (under 90c on all cores while folding with only the gfx and psu fans running) Although I wouldnt leave it running all day like that i did it for about half an hour to make sure i had good contact and that the heatsink was getting warm and she does.

tried that, been waiting a few days for my first question in my thread to be answered, about delivery dates, also asked this question, it has been looked at, but not responded to, as im assuming they will have to wait till monday to confirm this, im unsure as wether or not to send it back if its only got 1, as for the other suggestions for coolers, the problem is, my gf is paying, so no more than 40 quid
