nothing like stateing the obvious, how many people would go out walking a cat

True.

Mind you...what your dog was doing tonight worrys me :p

This is because dogs need their owners to walk them. Cats do it by themselves.

Cats > Dogs. Mathematical and scientific FACT.

Wrong.

Dogs can walk themselves but prefer to be with the owner.

Cats only come to you when they want something.

lol great reply :) dogs need their owners to show them around the area 10000000 times before they know where they are going, cats dont even need their owners to do it once!

Yeah, they're whiny clingy and need you to do everything for them.

Yeah, usually because they need you to open the tin of tuna or to unlock the back door so they can go take a whizz. The rest of the time the cat will let you get on with your life and it will get on with it's own.

So as you can see, from that logical summary, we have reached the same conclusion. Cats > Dogs.

A good old English proverb, "In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats."
If the inventor of the cats eye had been going the other way, he'd of invented to pencil sharpner *Giggles like a school girl*

dogs will save your life cats just walk away too find a new person.

A cat will not attempt to save it's overweight owner. The cat can do nothing. Instead, it will eat some fish and look for a new owner amongst the crowd of onlookers watching the old owner get worked on by paramedics.

A dog will bark at you whilst you have a heart attack and play fetch with the paramedics equipment when they arrive. :)

What is the point in arguing over this for the ten-millionth time when we all know it's a rhetorical debate?

not really a companion like a dog though are they, cats are just users

also dogs do know their way around, mine knows exactly where to go when I walk him and if I get lost at the woods he knows where we are lol :p

What if the cat is housebound all day, for fear that it would get stolen if it went outside unattended, surely it would be wise to walk the cat; for its own health?
