Finally some actual HOVIS content

The residents must be well fit there surely, well unless they only go down and get a lift up :p

That advert always intrigued me.

It was the last place on his round, his bread basket was full when he got there and empty when he left.

From that, I deduce it was the only place on his round and she bought the entire lot.

Hobnobs are second rate biscuits :p

If it's not Golden Oreos or Regal Puffs class biscuits, then it doesn't deserve dunking in my tea.

Yorkshire gold was expecting that to be beer, forgot they had an Indian microclimate, but,
eggy bread (with some sugar in the mix) why not.

Was half expecting Golden Brown song - not new world symph.

Never know if you never try:

I remember that advert airing when I was a kid. I also remember the Two Ronnies sketch airing. But this is a fact I didn't know:

It previously featured in the Boy On The Bike advert, directed by Sir Ridley Scott, in 1973.

are all those breads chorlywood - are they now part of the UPF organisation.

the eggy bread is looking a bit anemic, yes some of the yellow colouring in eggs depends on feed, but frying in butter with some maillard is needed .. and the sugar helps
