Finally some actual HOVIS content

When do we celebrate? I'm going to dunk some fried eggy bread slices into a Yorkshire Gold:cool:

Edit*

Forgot to ad the advert itself:

Trying to see if I can get a sense of Blade Runner from that advert.

E: It was a shame to find out it wasn't actually filmed in Yorkshire

Roberts. . (only because they were local to me as a kid)

in truth nowadays..... Aldi village bakery

/wave at a Cheshire lad. We used to drive past the Northwich Bakery on the way to my grandparents. Always a pain as we were 90 minutes before arriving and being hungry from the smell of baking bread was torture !

I buy Roberts sliced in preference to anything else if get the choice.

That's the best thing I've seen since sliced bread
When I was a kid, some absolute horror said "the best thing since life spread" in my presence and of course this the meant I followed suit. I heard other people say sliced bread but it took me years to realise I was the one who was getting it wrong. I think part of me will never be totally sure which is right :o

i still drive past it now going to my folks house. hit it right the smell is amazing. get it wrong and it is the yeasty raw dough smell that I don't like. I love that you can see the bread going past the windows (if you are stopped at the traffic lights)

You actually can. Ridley Scott has a very specific way of lighting shots. Look at the saturated light reflecting off the cobbles (6 sec onwards). Plus the almost 'painting' like quality of the cinematography.

Aye, I was trying to work out whether I was getting a bladerunnery feel because it was actually giving me that or whether it's just because I knew he'd directed it.

That said, when I found out he directed it way back when I was both surprised and yet not surprised.
