Finally! SSFIITHDR is incoming!

With the current exchange rate?
No chance.
I go for £15-£16

I have not checked today's exchange rate, but cannot understand why it would cost more than in USA.

Use simple logic. Bioshock pack was £6.29 here, $9.99 USA. Wipeout £12.99 and $19.99 (granted exchange rate changed a lot since Wipeout).

We get a reasonable deal on PSN tbh (mainly because they use real currencies and not points systems).

Some items are silly prices, but the conversions themselves are nowhere near as bad as people make out (for the majority of content). I can only think those that doubt have not checked USA pricing or are just jumping on the rip-off britain/rip-off Sony bandwagon.

Worst case scenario, £12.99 (but so so so unlikely), bear in mind most multiplat arcade games cost same as XBL points conversions. 1200MS points is £10 and $15, respectively.

I'm sure I've seen a few games on the store go up in price since the exchange rate went barmy, my projection was taking into account how weak the pound is and also how much they like squeezing us Brits for every penny they can!

Some prices on USA store have actually gone down as special offers recently (limited period etc) which make the EU ones look more pricey, but as a general rule prices seem to stay static, based on original cost when the game was released.

I will buy the game at any price, but people are getting carried away implying it will cost more in UK than USA (pounds to dollars etc).

TBH Ill happily pay WipeoutHD money for this game - it make its money back within a few days knowing how much fun its gonna be - anything under £15 is fine. Cant think of much that costs £15 release day on any console thats as good as this...

Not too dissimilar from my thoughts after reading your post, to be honest.

The only reason i think it could be delayed (slightly) is that there will be no US PSN update on Thursday as its Thanksgiving, and it gets updated on Tuesday instead. Perhaps it will mean that the EU will come Thursday as its no such holiday in the EU.

comparison of versions and summary below:

If you're interested in comparisons between the PS3 and 360 versions of HD Remix, Street Fighter fans will be happy to know that both are excellent and there's little difference between them. I (along with many others) greatly prefer the PS3 controller's D-pad over the 360 option, so that's something to consider if you plan on going down the controller route. Also, the PS3 version doesn't have Trophy support. Alas.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix doesn't have any frills and its mechanics -- while extremely well-tuned -- are simple. This is a game very dissimilar to modern fighters because it doesn't shower you with extra modes, art galleries or unlockables. It's admirably precise and meant for hardcore players, despite its increased approachability.

So HD Remix isn't for everyone, but the gameplay represented in this download is extraordinarily balanced and deep. I spent hours learning the ways of the retooled Fei Long and just barely scratched the surface of it all. For such a reasonable price of $14.99, HD Remix is a very hard game to pass up.

Quite a decent score considering SC4 got 87%, MK vs DC got 75%, VF5 got 90%, Tekken 5 got 82%, DOA4 got 90%, SF2: Hyper Fighting got 75% (Think that is all beat em ups on 360 and PS3?)

Release dates:

So as you probably read in Seth’s post a little while ago, the official release date will be as follows:

PSN US: 11/25/08 (Sorry guys, the EU and Asia dates are still TBD at the moment)

360: 11/26/08

No way it will be out in EU or Asia. If it was coming out in 3 days, Capcom would know. I am sure I read the validation process from SCEE is 2 weeks longer than SCEA. It is being equalized now, but when this was submitted it was still old rules, so maybe a week or two away for EU imo.

Only way to get it this week is on USA store with a Virtual/Prepaid Visa/Mastercard.
