There's an easy answer (if you're hosting)...turn collisions off...that way everyone is pure racing on their personal favourite racing line. OK I know it's not "lifelike" but to be honest I have really enjoyed racing like this as it stops moron's spoiling a good few minutes by ramming you off on the first corner. It's also a great way to learn other peoples (sometimes faster) lines.
It's only on the online career mode that it happens, three times yesterday on the start line on the Nurburgring F1 circuit, the F50GT (*YAWN!*) directly in front of me just reversed straight into me.
During a race round Her Majesty's Pleasure some bloke kept deliberately clipping me in the corners so I let him past and repaid the favour just after you go through those archway's and the idiot spent the rest of the race just cursing and swearing at me.
All I do now is try and beat laptimes on Nurburgring and Her Majestys Pleasure with various cars, just a shame you can't view a replay in this mode though.
