Next month (after payday) i'm finally upgrading to a 4870.
now i've read through numurous threads with regard to temps etc so was wondering what would be my best bet for an aftermarket cooler for the 4870. If one is really needed at all?

any help would be appreciated so i can work out the cost ready for payday:)

Initially I thought the stock cooler to be very poor on my sapphire 4870 and was looking to get another one. Idle temps were reaching 80c! I then edited the fan speed and now it sits at 50c load and I can barely hear it ! So, its thanks to this forum for that info.

If you were to buy an after market one though the S1rev gives the best results when a 120mm fan is attached.
