Six months ago I rebuilt my rig with a 1440p monitor while not thinking that it would take more power to push all those extra pixels (vs 1080p). Well, I finally convinced my wife that it was in my best interest ;) to get another 780 GTX. Now I can run everything or 99% of everything on full details. This has always been a dream of mine for the last 10 years and I finally was able to do it. Thought I would share with some fellow tech-nerds. :)

Cheers mates.

Gratz, enjoy the power.

You probably got a good deal compared to us UK folk too.

Thanks! Yes, I've been on this board for so long now and seeing what you gents pay for tech is shameful. I paid $479 and no tax which is what £290? Wish I could share the good deals with you all.

Nice one and glad you are pleased with it. Did you have any issues or was it straight forward?

Cheers! Other than not getting an SLI cable in the box and having to overnight deliver it; it has been fantastic. One card does get about 10 degrees hotter but that is normal. Can't wait for borderlands prequel to come out in Oct. Next on my list is a GSYNC monitor but I'm going to hold off for the prices to come down a bit.

Welcome to the sli club, for gentlemen of a discerning gaming nature.:)

Just recently went 780 sli myself. Held off for quite a while waiting on a second card to match my first one. Always end up going sli at some point with most nv cards ive owned. Thankfully ive never experienced any major issues with sli, boringly reliable.:D

How much is that ROG SWIFT in the US?

$799 but I've yet to see them for sale as of yet. (Aug 27)

Thanks and yes, I agree it was quite easy to get going.

Grats

A pair of 780's will serve you well for a good while to come.
Indeed, im now at the point where im running two 780's at 1920x1200. Overkill yes, im now experiencing resolution bottleneck. So a new monitor is next on the cards.
