Finish my build

I've been using a laptop and PS5 for a bit but both have been sold and I'm going back to a gaming rig. I don't believe in waiting for new releases and want to build now so don't want to turn this into another what's coming thread.....

Will be used for basic work office and 4k gaming, I'm not competitive shooter player so Don't need Silly FPS, just a bit of future proofing and smooth gameplay. I've got a monitor etc, so just need to finish the rig itself.

I've acquired from someone who owed me money an ASUS Prime Z690-A ATX motherboard, Corsair I-cue 5000x mid tower and Corsair CX750F 80 plus PSU (which I'm worried wont be man-enough).

What would you all build it out with? - rough budget £1500ish to finish it with all components needed except the above. Don't need masses of HDD Space, can always add more later so 1TB is fine to start - could push the budget a little more if there's value in it

There are plenty of changes you can make. I put in a 12700k but because you game at 4k you could easily drop to a 12600k or 12400f and not notice the difference. For 4k gaming the 3080 and up is the best option , I put in the cheapest 12gb version but you really need to look at the options yourself and see which card you find the least vomit inducing because some of them are very "special" designs. I also put in a different psu , 750w is cutting it close and the Corsair CX range is not as good as their RM RMx or AX range.

There is very little value in going for a better cpu than the 12700k or a better gpu.
