right so far I have the
Intel Corei7 920 D0
Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
whats next??

Have you bought the things you listed or are those just things you have decided to get?

If you have not yet bought anything, I'd strongly suggest you have a look at this motherboard.

As for the rest, you will need RAM, graphics card, CPU cooler, case, power supply, DVD drive (or blu-ray), hard disk (or SSD), operating system. If you are starting from scratch entirely then you will also need a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers (or headphones/headset). Also, you may want things like a discrete sound card, a secondary storage hard disk, desktop microphone, webcam, joystick, steering wheel etc. etc.

We will be happy to specify the whole lot for you, you just need to tell us what you will be needing, what you plan to use it for and what your budget is.

Well you cant have the i7 920 with that listed motherboard, wrong socket. ;)
Edit: Beaten by a split second :P

I have the motherbord, the rest I need
should i use the i5 750 then

Ah, you edited your post ;)

Yeah if you have that motherboard already, then you should either go for the i7 860 or the i5 750 tbh, depending on your budget of course.

Which we can't spec you anything for if we don't know what it is (budget) :p

could you do a mid and high range build
using the motherboard a i5 750 chip
i'll be using it for gaming

psu is made by seasonic and is quiet.

fastest harddrive in its class.

If you want to add an performance heatsink, then something like a Titan Fenrir is perfect.

Added my board of choice by accident. Your board doesn't do symmetrical Crossfire so I would suggest getting a better card if you can stretch.

So far all I can gather that this machine is used for gaming and you need the base system.

What resolution are you gaming at?
