I'll soon be buying a Panasonic TX-P42G15B tv, the Kef KHT3005SE K2 speaker set, and the DENON AVR1910 receiver :D. All I need now is speaker cable but I've no idea which I should get. From the receiver, the rear speaker will be wall mounted 5 metres away and 2-2.5 metres up. The front speakers will be a couple of metres either side and 2-2.5 metres up as well. I don't want to spend a huge amount on the cables, but I want it to be decent. Can anyone point me in the right direction please :). Ta.

It's my understanding that the front speakers should be mounted at a height equal to your ear level from your seating position for best effect.

Speaker cable usually leads to pages of arguements, 50p per M or £50 per M. Depends how deep your pockets are. I personally installed some cheap 79 strand B&Q cable when I laid my flooring earlier this year. I get sound from my speakers, I am happy.

cheapest copper cable you can find, just get 1.5mm or 2.5mm gauge - you shouldn't spend more than about £1 per meter. You can get banana plugs as an option, this will not improve sound, just make connections easier. up to you

Van Damme blue either 1.5 or 2.5 mm cross sections.

Both under £2 a metre and should be perfect for your needs. Don' waste money on expensive stuff.
