Why does most crysis threads turn to who is better COD4 or Crysis?

Because the kids just can't stay away and accept that they're completely different games.
Good work on completing the game on delta, WatchTower. I've not completed it yet, playing it on normal, and I can't imagine how difficult it would be playing on delta (especially those pesky helicopter bits, grrr!)

All well lets leave it at that crysis and cod4 are both equally good games.....cod4 being more equal.
Unfortunately it seems to happen to most COD4 or Crysis threads.

I was gonna get COD4 but I was told it's just COD2 with a face lift. Is this true?

I was pleasantly surprised to find that Crysis actually had a half-decent story, and wasn't just the glorified tech-demo everyone said it was (even though it is to some extent, possibly).
I though cod2 was better than 4

me too, i was expecting to be disappointed but i loved every minute of it.
I thought Crysis was quite good but took a turn for the worse towards the end, nothing to do with the aliens, just poor levels and bad design imo. Not a bad game, but not great either. Decent enough.
CoD 4 is CoD 2 in a modern setting Great game, if a little short and a little too scripted. Thoroughly enjoyed and it has fantastic multiplayer. Favorite FPS of this year, but CoD 2 had a better single player game imo.

I find some place where I can hit them but they can't hit me.to be honest i found the last part of the game hardest on delta, those alien troopers really tear you up

Completed crysis twice now. Once on hard and once on delta. The delta definitly makes the game more interesting. Crytek should have made the difficulty settings hard to delta and nothing less. This will seperate the men from the boys lol and show just how good the AI is in this game. As for cod4, it's a great game and i finished that too, but just too damn short i felt ripped off. I'll complete it again no doubt just to remind myself how good it is, not as good as crysis though hehe

I enjoy the COD4 multiplayer but its complete lack of teamwork/squadwork/tactics is where it lets me down. Still good fun and hoping for mod which removes airstrikes and choppers
