I've never really ventured into smart home and smart light's so would be grateful for some advice.
I've bought my daughter a Fire Cube and a new light fitting for her bedroom that takes 5 E14 bulbs and she'd like to be able to control the lights with her voice. If I just buy her some smart bulbs that are Alexa compatible will this work or even an Alexa smart light switch that are available?
Thanks.

Some Alexa compatible lamps should work fine. I'm using a couple of these in our bedroom and they're working fine. They're white only but that's fine for what I wanted. We have got some colour changing lamps like this in another lamp which needed bayonet cap lamps.

One thing to be aware of, the smart lamps only work on a 2.4GHz wireless network and can sometimes struggle with a combined 2.4 & 5Ghz network. I have a seperate 2.4GHz network for IoT stuff.

Thanks, she only wants white so I'll have a look at those bulbs.
