Tea lights. Aren't they fab?

I really enjoy messing around with them too! try doing something from directly above or if u have a glass table somewhere, directly below, really fun stuff

Nice shot! like the reflection. When you're playing around again see what the shot's like with the point of focus being the centre candle.

Good use of DOF. However, try postioning closest candle on left hand side as this is the way we read so it is a more natural lead in

I could just flip the image

So I did some more. First a variation on a theme:

After that, I took up the idea of shooting from underneath through glass. Couldn't really get this in focus as I couldn't look down the viewfinder whilst focussing and taking the pic. Just a case of putting the camera on the floor pointing up, and praying it focusses on something meaningful:

Then I decided to just mess around with the mirror:

Noticing the reflection below, I thought I'd get that as well:
