I recently upgraded my computer to a conroe setup, and have just got around to putting the old stuff into my sisters pc.
Connected it all up (Xp2600, NF7-S) hit the power and I thought I smelled toast, then I saw smoke and finally flames jumping up from around the processor. Uhoh! Took the thing out to find this:
The PCB has seperated due to the heat.
Now from what I can see theres nothing in that are to catch fire (that capacitor appears fine), so what would cause that?
Luckily the processor is now sat in a slightly older motherboard working fine.
