Firefly/Serenity?

About to embark on these, I've heard that there is a movie called Serenity, is that additional to the series as I've noticed that the pilot episode is also called Serenity?


What's the correct order to watch them in?
 
Definitely watch the series first.

I made the mistake of watching the movie first so I've ruined a bit of the plot line and confused myself in doing so. :p
 
Yup, one of my favourite shows of recent years, and it had a lot of potential, yet the TV companies did their normal thing of not giving it the chance of even just a single full season :( (IIRC they didn't even show it in the correct order).

For all that the US brings out some good TV, their attitude towards new shows is pretty appalling (if it doesn't get great ratings in the first 4-6 episodes cancel it...)

Do you know what the correct order should be? Wanting to watch it again in 1080p (1 year on from discovering it). :D

I watched less than 30 minutes of the movie first before turning it off thinking it was a terrible movie and then forgot everything about it. Discovered the series and loved it all.
 
I loved both the Series and Film.

Good choice of sci-fi, I need a new one to come along as I haven't really enjoyed anything since this and the earlier star gate.

I have seen the film but havn't watched the series (rather stupid I know).

I thought it was fantastic.

"I'm unarmed"
"Good...*Bang*"

:D

Oh and Summer Glau is in it which is reason enough to watch it :p

Guard: "i'm gonna need your authorization password"

Guard: "uh... ok!"

Or possibly

Mal: "Do you wanna run this ship?"
Jayne: "Yes!"
Mal: "Well... you .. cant!"
