Yes it was. There was a bug though, and this is purely to fix that (AFAIK).

I'd suggest forgetting that link till it's available on the mirrors though.

Not completely. This version certainly won't.

i don't see what the fuss is about with the memory, sure, right now firefox is rising in memory, but its not as if you notice the difference? who has a web browser open when you're doing anything that needs all your ram ?

Doesn't really bother me much and if it did I would change to Opera again, which is a great browser as well - it just includes stuff I won't ever use.

Autoupdate doesn't pick it up yet, but the mar is there.

I'm still not happy about when I midde-click a link to open it in a new tab, (or indeed just open a link in a new tab) that Firefox slows down coniderably while loading that page. Getting to be annoying for me.

True enough, but hammering mozilla.osuosl.org isn't the answer, which is what I was getting at.

My firefox keeps using about 300mb of ram and then lagging for ages, will this version fix this? I don't think this is the same as the other problem as I get this not just with multiple tabs.
