Firefox 2 RC3

Using this browser at the moment and not had any problems. The spell checker has to be the most useful feature.

I'm not sure if i like the overall brownish look to it though.

Are there any new skins for it yet?

why not switch to the nightly builds ?
As basically the same your using now RC3 but it's updated every night with little improvements. At least then your as up to date as you can get :D

The only down side is it'll download the new nightly update and ask you to restart the browser to update (if you want), but don't worry it saves your session before the update so all your open tabs are restored.

I keep having a problem with both RC builds and nightly builds, i can't seem to type anything in the address bar...

Obviously doesn't mean i can't use the keyboard as I'm typing this now (and appreciating the new spell checker!)

I tend to use my address bar for searches of websites and of course can't access sites i haven't bookmarked

Anyone got any ideas or should i just go back to 1.5?

updated from rc2 ages ago, all extensions work (18 or so I use) and all is well :)

Definately a nice improvement over 1.5. Most of my extensions still work, and nothing that i can't live without. Probably had too many anyhow.

Glad to see fwibble.org still active with v2.0 releases of all my favorite tweaks too :D

It's a colossal improvement rendering wise. I went back to 1.5 a few days ago though as everytime I'd hit the ' key, the flamin find bar would popup and no matter what I tried, I couldn't disable that feature.

that happens in 1.5 as well lol.

Cool, thanks.

Seems quicker. It made itself known, it added three shortcuts on my desktop (EDIT - only one shortcut actually, it somehow ghosted itself twice)

Form spell-checker is nice (just noticed when typing this post).

Seems quite good, tabs don't look very nice with the Windows classic style though.

FasterFox doesn't work, although there is a nice speed-up on FF2 which I have noticed... so I guess that doesn't really matter for now.

Looks very nice when you have Windows XP visual styles on.

Haven't used it for long yet, so I'm not sure about the stability. Should be stable though... 3 versions past beta ;)

EDIT

Liking the disable addon feature ;)

Or, Simply disable the built in function, LMAO.

Using the portableapps.com version at work, seems quite nice, even auto installed all my bookmarks and extensions etc from my company installed 1.5.0.7 FF, which was handy.

One thing that always bugged me was the lack of rss support when you clicked a rss link, now it at least formats the info. Live bookmarks were always good tho.

Damn, just installed this, and now Firefox wont open at all. I get this error message:-

Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point JS_DHashTableOperate could not be located in the dynamic link library js3250.dll

Anyone have any clues why its not working for me? :(

Getting exactly the same message - haven't had time to look into it. Had installed the new IE7 just before - but that shouldn't cause a problem ... should it?
