Firefox updates

I was shocked how it had updated yesterday and saw no threads… Was waiting to see.

Sadly stylish seems broken and the other add-on to arrange tabs, sizes and so on. It also seems to be screwing with colour profiles on OS X. Seems undersaturated…

Do people suffer problems with the tab mini preview squares not updating? Been like this before v29. Still the same.

stylish works for websites (for example my dark ocuk theme is running fine). if you mean purely for customising the firefox UI then your old scripts may well be obsolete given the changes.

i've not tried any of these but i saw a few customisation addons listed on another forum...

edit: this as well https://addons.mozilla.org/ro/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

Yeah, I liked that feature. One of mrk's scripts had the sliding out tray.

FYI: For anyone new reading, if you want to roll back to firefox 28, just copy the download link for the latest version from the mozilla website(and change the ver=30.0) or whatever part(to 28.0, or whatever you want, play around, it's quite obvious). You can downgrade simply by running an installer for an older version(ie. install an old copy over the top).

I have to routinely reinstall 28.0, because at random intervals firefox will update itself despite being set to "never update". I keep an exe specifically for a reinstall, and my addons all work no problem, sites remembers logins.. etc.. (it happened today as it happens and i've lost nothing)..

I've read about these problems and sadly it eventually causes weirdness for the Firefox profile over time. People have spoken about this over on the Mozilla forums.

Curious, what is peoples start up time? Under Help, Firefox Health Report. As well as date for stability from last crash.

Seems to work well providing you also disable disk caching ("browser.cache.disk.enable", false)

The only problem I've found so far with firefox in windows is the font rendering :(
All fonts look wrong/different, with higher sized fonts showing pixelation, seems ok in chrome on windows.

I don't have any of the font problems in linux or android.

Have you run through Windows Cleartype settings at all?
