FireFox 3.0.1 released

It's something that's set by the site, not the browser. Most designers don't seem to think of it however.
But that was not the case with Amiga Browsers as it would colour every link no matter what the server side set.
as the LinkVisitor as shown that it can be remembered client side..its just that LinkVisitor implementation is not every good.

Technically that's the browser in the wrong then...

Maybe! but i like it, Aweb,Voyager & IBrowse did that & they would even put a colour change boarder around thumbnails that you have clicked on before.

Yeah but the whole point of web standards is the browsers don't do it "their way" otherwise chaos would ensue, al-la internet explorer... It sounds like a good idea, but its up to the designer to implement it really...

It would not make much difference to the standards seeing as most sites don't follow it anyway & that one feature from the Amiga browsers is very useful which does not effect the site or other users.
That's what most of these plug-ins are there for on FF to browse the way you like not what is set NoScripts,Addblock...ect... changes what you view on a page & has a far more reaching effect on a page then a thumbnail boarder or link colour change on a visited page.

I'm running FF3 (v3.0.1) alongside FF2 (v2.0.0.16)

sorting my bookmark folders by name in FF2 takes approx 1 sec,
sorting my bookmark folders by name in FF3 takes approx 15 secs (same amount of folders.)

I think FF3 is still very buggy, having said that, Firefox in any flavour remains my preferred browser of choice.

They use a totally different mechanism for storing bookmarks, but IIRC a patch has gone in to improve bookmark sorting.
