Is there a way to backup all my firefox particulars (saved passwords, addons, settings etc.) so that it can easily be transferred.

I am just about to reinstall windows and spent so long getting my browser "just so" and would hate to spend all that time again.

Mozbackup, FEBE (easier but requires a couple restarts of ff to get all addons loaded again) or simply use sync.

Sync is by far the best option for pwrds/tabs/history etc. and while i won't do addons it's best to have it on in case fo the inevitable hardware failure. Just don't loose your has, you'll never get it back :)

FEBE has been updated, BETA 2 has been out a while and works flawlessly.

Having used both, I prefer the power of FEBE as you can selectively backup and restore individual extensions and their settings or anything else on its own too.

Awesome, thanks. I was just checking the Mozilla.org page, seems he has the beta on his personal site only.
