I was just browsing the net, then firefox crashed, i figured it was just random, and restored it, a few minutes later it crashed again, so i ignored it, until eventually, everytime i opened it, it crashed instantly, am i right in thinking this is a RAM issue?

Why? I doubt FF is at fault here.
It could be one of a million things. For starters, go to about:crashes and look for the crash report (if it sent it). It might give some clues as to what's crashing.
Try with a new profile, or try (Firefox's) safe mode.
Does any other app crash? It's probably not RAM if nothing else is broken...
