Firefox halting

Had the same issue, made me swap to edge for a bit

Edge…… things must be bad….. I only use edge at work as they have it locked down as the only browser we can use. I do keep thinking of switching to brave, but that still uses chromium. Or one of the Firefox derivatives like water fox or librefox.
